Aslıhan Demirtaş is an Istanbul-based architect, head of the interdisciplinary studio Aslıhan Demirtas Architecture & Research Office. With Ali Cindoruk, she co-founded KHORA. Her practice purposefully crosses disciplines in the forms of building, landscape, installation projects, exhibitions and research. She also teaches at the Department of Architecture at Kadir Has University in Istanbul, and is an active member of the Initiative for the Protection of the Historical Yedikule Gardens.
Her work has been exhibited at SALT Galata in Istanbul and SALT Ulus in Ankara; Pratt Manhattan Gallery, Aronson Gallery, and NTHCCC in New York; collectorspace and the Sharjah Biennial Off-Site Project in Istanbul. She previously worked for I.M. Pei in New York as his lead designer for the Museum of Islamic Art, Doha, and the Miho Chapel, Shigaraki, before founding her own practice.
